This Tour consists of touring The City Bay and Surrounds Area of the CBD.
Toorak (affluent), Clifton Hill (retro), Carlton (little Italy), Fitzroy (bohemian), Kew (Studley Park Boat house), The Yarra River...etc Picture yourself in a Classic Chevrolet Convertible travelling the streets of Melbourne with the wind blowing in your hair and everyone wondering who you are and wishing it was them.
Stopping to view The Bay or have a walk on the pier while your Convertible waites. Your Tour is a feeling of Luxury. This is a Unique and Special Experience.
Spend two hours seeing Melbourne and its Surrounds from the perspective of a Classic Convertible Chevrolet Impala either 1965 or1968.
This Unique Chauffeured Tour transports you and up to three friends. Choose your own route, or let us choose for you. We go to places such as Kew Boulevard along the Yarra River- a lovely lush area or maybe the Country Area of Warrandyte or The Bay Area of St Kilda. You might want to have Fish'n'Chips at Station Pier or Coffee and Cake at Brunetti's in Carlton!
THE DANDENONGS/YARRA RANGES COMBINED TOUR ($250 - $400)
With this Tour we take you to Olinda and Sherbrook Forest which is in the Dandenong Ranges, here we travel the winding Mt Dandenong Tourist Road, which has large lush fern gullies and greenery forest, towering Majestic Mountain Ash and beautiful colourful rosellas and bird life.
We stop and visit 'The Sky High Observatory' with spectacular views of Mt Dandenong and Surrounds maybe have a cake or a cup of coffee while nestling under the canopy of Australian Eucalypts Forest and observe the wildlife and the view and the serenity of the Forest.
Next we continue our journey travelling across to Coldsteam Hills and Yarra Glen here we have, The Yarra Ranges and the 'The Yarra Valley Wineries'. We stop for Lunch at Dominique Portet Winery.
After lunch we take in some Wine Tastings maybe visit the Chocolate Factory for some sweet pleasures all at your pleasure before we travel back home via Christmas Hills.
WINERY YARRA VALLEY TOUR ($250-$400)
We like to visit some of The Smaller Wineries. These are some we may visit.
We start at Punt Road Winery a friendly and welcoming Award Winning Winery owned by the Napoleone Family that have been Orchardists in the Yarra valley since the 1940's. They planted their first vineyards in 1983 and since become highly regarded for their Yarra Valley Punt Road label. The have now moved to include hand-crafted cider.
Cold Stream Hills Winery founded by Renowned Wine Writer James Halliday in 1985.
Switchy Lane Winery Our grape growing and winemaking philosophies at Squitchy Lane are directed at solely towards getting the best fruit floviurs possible.
Medhurst Winery another family-owned winery that has estate grown, low cropped, handmade wines known for its excellent varieties of export quality wines.
Yarra Yering Winery one of the oldest and most beautiful vineyards. The wine realeased in 1973 by owner/winemaker Dr Bailey Carrodus gained an international reputation for quality and individuality to great critical and commercial success to date.
St Huberts Winery this Vineyard is hand pruned and mostly trained to Vertically Shoot Positioned trellis, with foliage wires lifted by hand.
Dominique Portet Winery a centuries old wine making family. The Portet family holds possibly an unmatched record in the Australian wine industry. Dominique is the ninth generation in his family to be committed to wine making. His family has had links with the wine industry since 1720 in his native Bordeaux.
We offer you Lunch at the well known 'Yering Station' where food is at its excellence or Dominique Portet with their delicious Mediterranean Platter.
We may travel to Maddens Rise the philosophy is to maintain, preserve, and where possible and appropriate ecologically enhance the natural vineyard environment by embracing the use of ‘biological’ farming practices in other words keep it Organic.
Another winery we may visit is Greenstone Winery one of Yarra Valleys most progressive unique winery with award winning wines that are sold both nationally and in key markets around the world. Here we may stop for their Cheese Platter and accommpaning wines
Coombe Farm Winery one of the oldest and largest family owned Vineyard Estate still owned and occupied by the descendants of Melbourne's Dame Nellie Melba. Coombe Farm is the place for premium viticulture and delicious wines.
DeBortoli Winery is next interesting wine from some of the oldest vines in the valley. Fantastic cheese and wine tastings with Italian style ambience. Richard Thomas the world famous cheese maker for over 30 years was the first to make a cheese room for this Winery and its only progressed from here. You can sample taste or buy at your pleasure.
We may also visit Balgownie Estate Vineyard established by the now legendary winemaker Stuart Anderson in 1969. This vineyard was the first vineyard planted in the Bendigo district more than 80 years age. This is one of Australia's great small vineyard famed for its long lived Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz. Last is finishing off.
We tour back to Melbourne along the Yarra Valley Hinterland through Warrandyte or Kangaroo Ground.
BREWERY YARRA VALLEY TOUR ($250-$400) ( Not operating )
Between 10,000 and 15,000 years ago, some humans discontinued their nomadic hunting and gathering and settled down to farm. Grain was the first domesticated crop that started that farming process. The oldest proven records of brewing are about 6,000 years old and refer to the Sumerians. They had discovered a "divine drink" which certainly was a gift from the Gods.
With this tour we take you to the Major Watering Holes ( Of The God Oden ) in the Yarra Valley.
We start this tour by traveling the winding roads of Warrandyte to Healesville where we visit Buckleys Brewery named after William Buckley the famous escaped convict. The beers are traditionally brewed, non-filtered and full flavoured. This is Yarra Valleys First Traditional Brewery with Solar Heated Brew. There are 4 beers to choose from. This is where you will be taken through the brewery and shown the step by step production method of making Beer.
We may also visit the New Small Australian Distillery called Four Pillars Gin Distillery where the owners love to create interesting tastes and flavours. There are 4 gins available.
Next we travel the rolling hills across to Yarra Glen to visit the new Napoleone Brewery and Ciderhouse a creative space in the Yarra Valley where they craft and share small, fresh batches of beer and cider.
Built from the foundations of an 1860’s dairy on the family property, the stunning views of the surrounding hills, orchards and vines are matched inside by views through to the working brewery.
Following is Hargreaves Hill Brewery this is a family owned mico-brewery that brews with rainwater, they make the ales the old fashioned way no preservatives, no chemicals or sugars. They have 5 beers and 4 on guest taps. This is also where we stop for Lunch at the Bar and Restaurant. The Chef is known for his delicious modern style menu.
Last we visit Coldstream Brewery which is a mico-brewery that has Rod Williams a renowned brewer for over 38 years. His experience and expertise in establishing the brewery is marked by the unique beer and ales available. There are 4 beers and 1 Cider available.
We travel back to Melbourne via Warrandyte or Kangaroo Ground.
